From parkrun.org, Valley Striders’ Roy Huggins won the race in 17:49 and the first female athlete was Shelley Li in 17:56. For OAC, Simon Anderson finished eleventh in 18:57 and Mick Jeffrey nineteenth in 19:46.

A fantastic result for OAC’s Liam Dunne who finished fifth (2.54.59) in this race won by Sergiu Ciobanu (2.31.00).

Liam was exactly ten minutes faster than his time last year – well done!

I did this British Fell Championship Race in Mourne Mountains (10 miles / 4,500′). Really hard.

The race was won by Andy Symonds (Kendal) in 1.43.56 and I finished 44th (2.07.21).

From woodentops.org, the race was won by Ian Holmes (Bingley) in 15.41 and for OAC, second claim member Bob Payne finished 219th (25.21) and Don Buffham 256th (27.23).

Despite the dry conditions on the day, recent rain made the underfoot conditions for this already demanding course even more challenging than usual.

The winner on the day was Tom Adams (Ilkley) in 36.08.

First home for OAC was Ed Davies (pictured) in ninth (40.00) followed by Steve Wallace 27th (42.37), Mick Jeffrey 45th (45.20), Neil Charlton 81st (48.15), Colin Best 148th (52.30), Howard Jeffrey 214th (56.05), second claim member Bob Payne 230th (57.08) and Liz Ashton 358th(66.06).

This was the first trail race in OAC’s Runner of the Year Championship.
