Tuesday 25th May – Danefield Handicap

An excellent turn out of over 30 members for the shortest course in the Handicap Championship at Danefield.

Fresh… from a 3:02 marathon at a warm Edinburgh on Sunday newcomer Tom came home ahead of Graham and Liz, Bob returned the fastest time of the night of 17:02, or I think he did, due to the big turn out / close finishing  & solo timing & name recording, some of the times / positions may be slightly awry, all comments will be welcome on the results below, I will delay updating the table for a few days till I am slightly more confident of the results below, especially position wise all points may prove vital at the end of the year…. Andrew

Results below are updated after comments…  Graham is now the top of the league, ahead of Billy, Adam and Caron.

    Hi Andrew,

I finished one second after Sarah McBrinn so possibly I’m down as Tom Paget as I dont remember finishing with Tom.

  2. #2 by Hugh on May 26, 2010 - 10:28 am

Tom finished shortly before Paul Clifford. I did tell Andrew he was finishing, but he was looking the other way (trying to sort out finishing positions?) and didn’t hear me.

  3. #3 by Tom Paget on May 26, 2010 - 4:52 pm

Gents – These are the final results – I’m not sure they can be changed now?!?! You’re right, I actually finished 2nd last.

  4. #4 by Tom Paget on May 26, 2010 - 4:55 pm

Are you two trying to cast doubt by suggest that I didn’t finish as high up as the results are saying? Appalling… Actually Andrew, they’re right. I was 2nd last, although I’m happy for the current result to stand

I can vouch for Neil C. running but finishing way ahead of me.
Of course it’s worth pointing out that Tom Paget set off late hence likely that Honest Andrew has taken this into account so that Tom appears in the results where he should have (had he set off at the right time).
Well done Andrew for compiling these results in such difficult conditions. I propose chip-timing and photo-finish technology installed for the next Club Handicap at Leathley on Tuesday 22nd June.

  7. #7 by Andrew on May 26, 2010 - 9:30 pm

Ok… thanks for the comments so far… I’ll add Neil after Sarah and Tom 2nd to last sorry Tom… far too many Tom’s running last night… any more requests for changes? & should say too, well done to young Alex in his first handicap.

The two Simons started in front of me so I think thier handicaps must be wrong. Im not sure this effects the results though so no big deal.

  9. #9 by Michael Pickard on May 28, 2010 - 1:12 pm

Simon Toyne & Simon Anderson set off with me, Laura, Tom & John at 9.30 handicap not at 10.20 as listed in table.
