Sunday 11th July – Eccup 10 Miles

Race won by Andrew Pearson of Longwood in 52:15 (with an unattached Ian Fisher coming in second).

A difficult headwind for a few miles of the route after Eccup reservoir presented some small problems but apart from that perfect running conditions and a well run event meant for some good times. Runner of the month for June, Thomas Midgley, coming in first for Otley in an impressive sixth place (58:13).

Other Otley members running were Mark Hall tenth (59:11 and first M50), Lloyd Best 60th (67:11), Karen Best 80th (70:02), Neil Charlton 89th (71:03 – a PB by 30 seconds and 12 minutes faster than last year), Matt Podd 119th (73:24), second claim member Beth Massey 127th (74:01), Tom Potter 228th (81:02), Andrew Rayner 243rd (82:12), Sara Richard 407th (94:34) and David Cattanach 439th (97:31).

    Hi, I amongst other Otley AC members completed the race today, I came in at 1 hour 20 mins.

    Beth Massey was also in Eccup 10, though in a blue vest, she had a good run.
