Sunday 10th April – Baildon Boundary Way

mattpodd_baildonThis off-road Half Marathon finished in unseasonable 20C+ conditions.

The race was won by Tim Midgley (Bingley Harriers) in 79.42 ahead of Andy May (Valley Striders) in 81.44.

For OAC, Simon Toyne finished 66th (104.34),Matt Podd (pictured right) finished 94th (107.46) and John Dade crossed the finishing line 184th (118.57).

  1. Spotted you as well Julian. John Dade was also running, but not sure how he did as we left early on.
    I was running with wooden legs as a result of a recce for the Jura fell race late last week – scary stuff even in good weather.

  2. Good to see a few Otley faces, weather amazing, if not a little too hot in places. This was my virgin half-marathon and in honour of my recently born son, Alexander – thank you for all the broken nights sleep, it has really enhanced the training!

  3. Fantastic day – perfect conditions (if you didn’t run too fast).
    I was really pleased to be able to get around in one piece.
    Great results for Matt and Simon. We all got our excuses in before the race – looks like I’m the only one who needed to.
