Sunday 8th May – Leeds Half Marathon

liam,julian,tom_leedshalf2011Over 3,600 finishers in this year’s Leeds Half Marathon.

The race was won by Eritrean Tsegezab Woldemichael (Shettleston) in 67.13 and the first lady was Gemma Smith (Kirkstall Harriers) who finshed 54th overall (86.06) – all gun positions / chip times.

For OAC, Julian Mawson finished ninth (78.38), Liam Dunne fifteenth (80.18) and Tom Midgley nineteenth (80.49). The Otley trio were delighted to win the men’s team prize.

Second claim OAC member Richard Clarke finished 267th (94.41).

Also for OAC, Dominic Egan finished 847th (108.22), Billy Rayner recorded his fastest ever Leeds Half finishing 864th (108.03) and was followed by Sara Richard 1,439th (117.02 – a p.b.), Laura Taylor 1,568th (114.21), Neil O’Brien 1,758th (117.50), Sue Tupling 1,769th (117.46), Anna Cooper 1,793rd (119.34), Nina Kenworthy 2,005th (122.14), Julie Dorling 2,236th (128.02), Hannah Mallinson 2,257th (126.20) and Liz Walker 2,605th (133.12).
