More details from wharfedalemarathonevents. Results and photos from sportident. The Half Marathon was won by Quentin Lewis (Baildon) in 89.17. Second claim OAC member Sarah Jarvis won the ladies Half Marathon race, finishing third overall in 97.34….two minutes off the ladies course record. Also running for OAC was Mark Berry who finished 82nd (123.53), Colin Best (pictured right) who crossed the line in 147th (137.13) and Sue Tupling 230th (173.44). Saturday 4th June – Kirkby Malzeard 10km

From riponrunners, the race was won by Marc Scott (Richmond & Zetland) in 33.38 and the first lady in 33rd position was Jennifer-Anne Hutcheson (Harrogate Harriers) in 40.55. For OAC, Julian Mawson finished tenth (36.05), Mick Jeffrey 49th (42.35), second-claim member Beth Massey 51st (42.41) and Howard Jeffrey 68th (44.08). OAC’s Sharron Smith texts in, “Excellent results at the Chevin Fell Race..Racheal Bamford first lady, Renee Saxton second lady, I was third lady to the top of Jonny Lane before burning out…. For her excellent Club Record in the John Carr Esholt 5km (16.52) and equally impressive performance in the second HDSRL race at Harrogate where she finished ninth overall, the deserved winner of Runner of the Month for May has been awarded to Racheal Bamford. Well done Racheal.
