washburn_2011Click here for Results or on the Washburn Valley Relay page.

Please e-mail Andrew with any late team changes, I know there were probably a few…

65 teams took part in the adults race which was won by Otley A.C. (pictured below) and the Mixed Team event was won by Pudsey Pacers for a second consecutive year and the Ladies Team event was won by Skipton A.C.

Three new records this year for, Quentin Lewis and Racheal Bamford on Leg 1 and the mixed team total race time by almost two minutes for Pudsey Pacers.

And ten teams also enjoyed the Junior Washburn
Valley Relay too with results now available.

ian,sam,liam_washburn2011Our thanks go to the race sponsors, Up & Running Leeds, who provided the race numbers, Yorkshire Water for use of Fewston’s facilities on the night, the Race Director, OAC’s John Dade and also the Results Director, OAC’s Andrew Robertshaw.

Some pictures in Club Photos.

And Ian Fisher claims that he has found the cure for insomnia with his Washburn Valley Relay Road Trip Video. Ian comments, “If you download the file by pressing the blue download button below the film, people will be able to play it in their media players and have the option to skip forward (or just go to the end…)”.

Well done to Ian — looks like he was just 1 second off his own course record for leg 2…
Maybe that cup is like the ashes. Size not all…

Thanks Ben. You ran great too just like Racheal after cycling there from Otley and back after….but enough of that let’s talk about feeding my ego. I wasn’t aware my time was that close!
