Saturday 5th November – Park Run Bradford 5km

Report from OAC’s President, Mick Jeffrey:

I did the Bradford Park Run yesterday. It has a lot smaller field than the Leeds Hyde Park one and is slightly more testing in that there is a short steep hill on each of the three laps.

I was hoping to do a head-to-head with Liam Dunne to establish Club RoY form in the same event. I came thirteenth and first M55 in a disappointing 20.41 but as the winning time was only 17.50 it was worth the effort for the RoY points bagged. Sadly the effort (probably) took the edge off my performance in the very hilly Guy Fawkes 10 Miles today and victory was conceded to brother Howard on the day.

Note to self, more hill-training required!

The race was won by Chris Williams (Queensbury) in 17.50 and the first lady in eleventh position overall was Andrea Dennison (Bingley) in 20.02.

Results from parkrun.
