Sunday 13th May – Leeds Half Marathon

A record of 4,565 finishers in this year’s Leeds Half Marathon.

The race was won by Owen Beilby (Wharfedale Harriers) in 73.54 and the first lady in 38th position overall was Emily Birchall (Leeds City) in 82.57 (all gun positions / chip times).

For OAC, Liam Dunne finished eleventh (79.37), Julian Mawson (pictured right) 21st (81.24), Tom Midgley 24th (81.37), Ed Hardy 52nd (84.14 – a pb), Tom Paget 117th (89.04 – a pb) and Karen Potter 166th (and second FV40) in 91.13.

Continuing, Howard Jeffrey 193rd (92.31), Richard Smith 240th (94.07 – a pb), John Davis 648th (101.26), Tom Hannah 1,024th (106.12), Billy Rayner 1,085th (105.20) and Andrew Webster 1,134th (103.48).

Also Jane Butler 1,313rd (108.35 – a pb), Reid Haddow (pictured lower right) 1,501st (110.34), Sara Richard 1,926th (115.46 – a pb) and Ged Peacock 2,373rd (118.17).

  3. Thanks Reid and well done to you with two races on consecutive days. I have always enjoyed the Leeds Half, although I can assure I wasn’t smiling up Stonegate Road or the Ring Road. Well done to all the OAC times and numerous pb’s today as well. Congratulations also to Ed in his first race as an OAC member, there’s more to come…
