Saturday 23rd June – Aviva Olympic and UK Trials at Birmingham


A big well done to OAC’s Racheal Bamford in setting a new personal best of 4:22.78 finishing eighth in the first heat of the women’s 1,500m at the Aviva Olympic Trials at Birmingham Alexander Stadium.

Lisa Dobriskey (Ashford) won the heat in 4:15.39.

    Fantastic result Racheal. Looks as if you were in a very fast heat as well. Laura Weightman’s heat finished 5s slower! Things can only get better……

    WOW, What a champion in the making, well done Rachael, you did Fantasticly well,, To even run against an Olympic Selection in the trial , as we all now know the winner of your heat was selected to go to London, keep going Rachael, your turn will come again ,
