Monday 31st December – Auld Lang Syne Fell Race


The Auld Lang Syne Fell Race (6 miles / 984′) with details and results from woodentops.

The race was won by Jonathan Brownlee (Bingley) in 43.10 and the first lady in eleventh position overall was Annabel Mason (Wakefield) in 47.58.

For OAC, Colin Best finished 223rd (69.30), Mary Hampshire 314th (81.02) and Don Buffham 341st (88.19).

    That was a good run Colin , well done to Mary and Don for doing this hard fell race, that i used to run every year, the first one that i run was in December 2000, it was snowing very heavy all over the moors , it was like a snow desert and i had road shoes because i just arrived in England ,more then a run was like skiing, i went to this race with Andrew S. and Emma P. was there too,Emma was not sure about running because of the hazardous condition, but when Emma spotted me she changed her mind , she was thinking that if Antonio can run this race then surely i can run just as well , and Emma did run really strongly indeed.
