‘Moonlighting’ is back; the alternative to pounding the Tarmac during the dark nights.

For the uninitiated, this involves off-road running. Everyone is welcome, but appropriate running gear is necessary ie, trail/fell shoes, windproof, head torch.

Ideas for routes are always welcome and if anyone wants more info on particular runs ask Head Moonlighter, Liz Fawcett, at training and she’ll bring a map with her next time.

Of course, this is not without danger (the run, not Liz) and – Disclaimer – by joining this activity, you agree to do so at your own risk!

We usually have two groups to ensure everybody’s pace can be accommodated and is open to everyone in the club however fast or slow. Anyone new to the club is particularly welcome, so why not give it a go?!

See Notices and Forthcoming Events for dates.

  1. Lovely run around Hawkswoor Moor (East end of Ilkley) last night, thanks to Andrew who knew the route. Very fine with extensive views.

  2. Thanks to Liz and Andrew for organising and navigating us about. Hoping I can re-trace this in daylight and when it is a bit less muddy. And to cap it off lovely fish and chips in the Wetherby Whaler.
