From runSunday, this week’s race was won by Euan Brennan (Ilkley) in 19.21 and the first lady in sixth position overall was Leah Forey (Unattached) in 23.20.
Also for OAC, Mark Beswick finished second (21.40), Steven Robinson third (21.57), Matt Podd fifth (23.06), Toni Midgley eighteenth (32.04) and Debra Brown nineteenth (33.43).

Amazing run by Euan, only about 11 and 4ft. Goes off like the clappers and we were all thinking that he would soon fade, but no – he just kept on going away. Lovely to see a kid enjoying running, and what potential talent. The rest of us had a laugh and got beat!
Hi Matt, I had very similar experience before I joined OAC in the early 90’s at arace in Embsay when a young lad probably just slightly older than Euan set off the same way and we never saw him again. He was Matthew Watson of Bingley who ended up doing 30 min 10kms by the time he was eighteen. Well done Euan.
