Tuesday 21st May – HDSRL @ Harrogate Race #2

After missing the Fewston handicap, Phil returns to the top of the table with a total of 81.5 with the top points on the night, (50% of the usual points as to not skew the points in comparison with the ‘standard’ handicaps).  Matt Podd moved into second on 79.5, with another strong run and Ursula now in third on 78 points, see full handicap table here.

Good running Black and Whites! Well done Ian; 5 seconds though, bit closer than @ Otley!

Great running everybody – it was wonderful to see so many otley vests out last evening & another victory for otleyac. I really enjoyed spectating but hope to be back for the Richmond race!

& Ditto for the handicapper, I have to be honest & I thought when I saw Ian shoulder to shoulder with 20 yrs his junior Doug I didn’t expect Ian to come out on top, but experience wins out. Definitely a better run from Ian than at Otley.
Well done to Phil the return continues.. & I hope to be back for Richmond too.
I’m sure the president will be badgering for a stronger turn out from the fast lads too…

  4. #4 by Richard Hamer on May 23, 2013 - 8:13 am

Well done everyone, another great turnout.

  5. #5 by Mick Jeffrey on May 23, 2013 - 10:04 am

Andrew your so right. Fantastic runs from everyone who turned out but we were lacking strength in depth in all the categories except the Elite. There will be a three line whip for everyone for the remaining two events especially Richmond. On a lighter note shame on Mark Berry who impugned my legitimacy as I sprinted past him yards from the line. And why did Tom Potter warrant 12 handicap points and me only 11.5 with the same time? Infamy, infamy, they’ve all got it in for me!

And I beat you by a minute Mick – sorry I forgot to gloat on the night 😉

  7. #7 by Andrew Robertshaw on May 23, 2013 - 1:29 pm

Ah.. you spotted the deliberate mistake Mick & Andy W has missed out on half a point too, I will update later.

  8. #8 by Antonio Cardinale on May 24, 2013 - 8:35 pm

That was strong running Phil, my best compliments for coming back at the top of the table, it seems to me that you are as fast as before, maybe more faster. Well done to Ian for the remarkable victory , that is great running, you are still one of most powerful road runner in the district.

  9. #9 by Caron on May 26, 2013 - 6:13 pm

Well I’ve given up on trying to bribe my way to the top! Maybe I need to do some more road training….

  10. #10 by Richard Hamer on May 28, 2013 - 9:55 am

Dear handicapper, where’s my result from Fewston : [
