The Chevin Fell Race (2.8 miles / 689′).

From the results, the race was won by Adam Osborne (Leeds City) in 17.44 and the first lady in 28th position overall was Holly Williams (Valley Striders) in 21.26.

For OAC, Sam Stell finished ninth (19.56), Graham Lake sixteenth (20.33), Shane Ewen 34th (21.51), Simon Toyne 39th (22.36), Renee Saxton 41st and third lady (22.40), John Armitstead 51st (23.09), Steven Robinson 53rd (23.12), Tom Potter 61st (24.07), Billy Rayner 98th (28.45), Pange Srivastava 11th (30.09) and Antonio Cardinale 122nd (37.21).

  1. Another glorious evening for this ‘official start of summer’ fell race.
    Fast start, brutal climb up Johnny Lane and the dreaded ‘steps of doom’, wonderful run across the tops with views over most of Yorkshire then the fast ankle-worrying (then blister inducing) descent back down to the town.
    What fell running is all about.
    Over a pint of Golden Pippin I deduced that Bob Addey was 2nd and Renee was either 2nd or 3rd lady (it got confusing).
    Sam was well up too.
    Sometimes takes a while to get full results, but there were plenty of black and white shirts out.
    Same again next year please.
