Wednesday 17th July – SSC Women’s International Mile, Dublin (Ire)

Report from Morton Stadium, Santry, Dublin by OAC’s Racheal Bamford of the Morton Games:

Despite running with a bit of an injury, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to race this fantastic event.

Beautiful weather and enthusiastic crowds meant that national and stadium records were smashed. Nine men broke 4 minutes for the mile (in a race won by Cory Leslie (USA) in 3.55.85.

Women’s race won by Brie Felnagle (USA) 4.30.44 (a stadium record) and I was ninth in 4:38.50 (a Club Record by just over 36 seconds).

Report here. Results from here and here.
