Friday 16th August – St Levan 10k

Andrew Robertshaw reports:

Holidaying in St Ives for the week I discovered a local 10k race a couple of miles or so from Lands End.  The race was well organised be Mounts Bay Harriers, based in Penzance.  There is a good description of the route with various comments on the nature of the hills on their club website here.

The race was won by Tom Muddiman of Southampton in 34:37 and I was happy to finish 5th & 1st v40, and one behind the first V45,  but a little disappointed with a time just creeping over 37 minutes in 37.01.  Maybe I’m a little out of practice as my last open 10k was the Ribble Valley 10k 2008.   Full results available here.

That is a while since Andrew – and in Lancashire too. That must have blighted you.

You did not run badly at all Andrew ,after all you were on holiday in Penzance, not caring for training really, to finish 5th is good , and the winner is not so far from you .Well done Andrew.
