Early results from the local run are: Leeds Hyde Park:  1st Tom Eames, West Suffolk AC 16:51,  41st. Christian Hosker 20:39. Leeds Temple Newsam Park: 1st Peter Hopson, Bradford Airedale 17:01,  61st Lisa Maughan 25:37. Bradford Lister Park: 1st Tom Adams, Ilkley H 15:55, 103rd Sara Elliott 24:42

Scott Harrington came fourth in the Clowne Half-Marathon, in Derbyshire, recording a personal best time of 1:14:01. HOWEVER, he was awarded third prize as the winner was a professional guest runner! Quiz Master Tom Hannah finished 307th in 1:49:35 while David Hainsworth was 428th in 1:57:40. First was Meles Okbazghi (Sheffield RC) in 1:11:51; second Mark Couldwell (Charnwood AC) in 1:12:35 and third Ian Bailey (Sleaford Town) in 1:12:44. Sunday 24th November – Run Sunday

Due to other events taking place, only 17 runners took part in the latest Run Sunday which was won by our very own Richard Smith in 18:57, with Pange the second lady in 26:42. Second was Steve Turland (19:24) and third Tom Gatehouse (20:19). Fourth overall and equalling her own category record was Emma Stoney in 21:34 and Toni Midgley completed the course in 29:29. A sunny and frosty morning greeted the runners at the canal side start near the Railway Inn. John won his first handicap finishing a clear winner ahead of Andy Webster. Steve Robinson recorded the fastest time of the day. As this was the penultimate handicap race in this year’s Eric Smith trophy, Dominic needed a good finish to claw back some of Ursula’s 21 point lead. Matt Podd reports: Five Black & White ‘warriors’ ventured to Lancashire to test ourselves on this beast of 17 miles and nearly 5000ft of climbing; basically five times up and down Pendle Hill. We were blessed with a chilly, but a wonderful day, with huge views lit up by patches of sun. In the Bradford parkrun Reid Haddow was 105th (out of 277) in 26:01. The winner was Ian Nixon (Pudsey & Bramley) in 17:38 and the first lady was Steph Wilson (Saltaire Striders) in 21:51. In the Harrogate parkrun Steve Haywood was 207th (out of 336) in 27:40. The winner was Andrew Dobby (Harrogate Harriers) in 18:00 and the first lady was Emma Megarry in 19:47. Handicapper Early confidence of a decent finish quickly evaporated as I felt a persistant ‘pain in the backside‘ after just a couple minutes  of running.  This reduced my aim to just making it to the finish without the pain getting any worse. Report from Steve Robinson: I took the kids over to my parents this weekend in Cumbria and thought it would be a good idea to run in the Arnside Knott fell race (5.5miles/919ft) which was taking place just down the road. It is a scenic out and back course overlooking Morecambe Bay and the Kent estuary. Report from Caron: 7 black and whites turned up for the harriers v cyclists yesterday ( 6 miles 658′) hosted by Bingley Harriers.
