Sunday 17th November – Arnside Knott Fell Race

Report from Steve Robinson:

I took the kids over to my parents this weekend in Cumbria and thought it would be a good idea to run in the Arnside Knott fell race (5.5miles/919ft) which was taking place just down the road.

It is a scenic out and back course overlooking Morecambe Bay and the Kent estuary. The weather was overcast and pretty good for running although the greasy limestone outcrops and sections of mud certainly kept your focus. It turned out to be quite a tough course for such a short distance with virtually no flat sections and all steep gradients going up or down.

The winner was Paul Webb (Unattached) in 34.56. I finished in 50th place in 45.32. 147 finished. Full results here and photos here.

Well done Steve ,your 50th place in 45.32 is not bad at all, and in the photo you look in good form.
