Pre-piece: Otley 10-Mile Road Race – Wednesday 11th June

This year’s Otley 10 is looking like it’s a going to be an epic battle with the past two winners lining up with in-form runners Quentin Lewis (Baildon) plus last year’s third place Andy May (Valley Striders).

The winner of the 2013 race, Mike Jeffries (Swaledale), will be taking on Otley AC’s very own Matt John who was victorious in 2012 and has been putting in some great performances this year, most recently last week’s Chevin Fell Race.

Andy Grant (Harrogate) and Otley’s Scott Harrington look set to continue the battle they’ve been having over the past few weeks in the Harrogate League races.

On the ladies front, last year’s second place Myra Jones (Valley Striders) will be taking on Sharon Barlow (Ripon), who has won two Harrogate League races this year, Andrea Dennison (Bingley) winner of last month’s Leeds Half and Rebecca Cesar De Sa (Skyrac) who has also been impressive all year.

  1. Thanks very much to everyone who helped put on such a good race last night – especially Colin and the Robertshaws. I heard very positive comments from lots of runners.
Well done to all the boys who raced – team prize in our own race.
    Fine weather and good organisation.

  2. Yep, it’s a great event. Great atmosphere for the runners as they enter the cricket ground. Was good to see so many Otley AC runners towards the front.

  3. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone in OAC who made the Otley 10m a top event. I ran but did not help out so really appreciate those who did. Big thanks to Tom for pointing me in the right direction, not sure where I thought I was off to!

  4. I agree with Hannah and as well with the President of Otley ac Matt P. that it was a great night of sport and compliments to everyone who made the effort to make the Otley 10m a beautiful race. Well done to everybody , especially the super Colin B. and the Robertshaws’s family .
