Sunday 13th July – Trawden 7 Trail Race

Report from Jackie Ackroyd:

I did the trawden 7 trail race. It was a local race ,one long hill in the first 3 to 4 miles and uphill in the last mile.

It was a hot day, with clear view for miles on the moorland section, pity you had to watch your feet.  I set off steady and worked into the race.

The last mile was a hot drag but the home made cakes and beer at the end was very welcome. It was very rural, the beautiful scenery took my mind off the pain.

The first male was Marc Hartley from Stoke AC in 38.40 and the first lady was Sarah Tipler from Barlick Fellrunners in 47.05 .

I was 116th and 19th lady in 60.14 . Friendly, social run, no pressure. I would certainly do it again
