Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th October – Lake District trip

The first ever Otley AC autumnal trip to the Lake District was an original idea produced by Simon Anderson, and director by Richard Hamer with a cast of 14.

A great location at Elterwater staying in the Elterwater Hostel, with lovely food and drink in the Eltermere Inn and kind weather (after an initial ‘welcome to the Lakes’ downpour). Oh, and not forgetting two runs of approx 10 miles each; Saturday, Black Crag via Tarn Hows and Sunday, Sergeant Man and Pavey Arch.

A hard weekend, but well worth it for the stunning scenery.

The trip coincided with the Langdale and Wasdale fell races, so who know, next year a few Otley names could appear on the start sheets.

I wish I could have been there with you , from the pictures you look like that you are enjoying your weekend the photos are indeed of a beautiful dreaming landscape that makes you struggling to go back on Monday to the reality of everyday life. Well done to Simon and Richard for the great autumnal trip.
