Wednesday 15th July – Priory 10k

Report from Mark Hall:

I made the journey over to Nostell Priory near Wakefield to run the Priory 10k. The race was made up of 2 undulating laps on trails and road. I started well and ran with the front group for a few miles before drifting back, however, I maintained a constant pace and managed to catch 3 runners in the final 2 miles. The conditions were excellent.

If you are looking for a well organised race in a lovely location this race is worth a visit.

I finished in 6th place (300 finishers) in 37.02, 1st Veteran.

Winner was Rob Jones, unattached 35.29

That was a powerful performance Mark , to finish in 6th place out of 300 runners is outstanding and 37:02 is a great result that only such a competitor could achieve. Compliments as well for 1 st Vet that puts you near the top of. W. Yorkshire .
