Sunday 18th October: Green Drive 5 miles. Lytham St Annes
Report from Mark Hall:
I headed west to do the above event, it was a long drive for a 5mile race but it turned out to be worth the journey.
There are not too many fast 5 mile events around. Terry Lonegan suggested the above event and it really is a PB circuit, flat with a railway bridge the only obstacle. I ran the first 2 miles with someone then struggled alone, I was happy to have set a UK best [V55] by 2 seconds.
Mark was 11th and 1st V55 in a time of 28.20 (UK best V55) out of 300 starters. The race was won by karl Billington (Blackburn Harriers) in 25.18.

It was indeed worth the journey Mark to Lytham St Annes and I agree with President Matt P. and Tamara with their positive comments about your performance in this 5 miles . Congratulations for the UK best achieved with a brilliant 28:20 . Well done Mark .
