Lots of good performances last month, honourable mentions to all those who endured the Rombalds Stride & Scott for his recent 20 miler.

This month’s awards go to Gilly Wight for her epic Otley to Cambridge run followed by the Cambridge Half marathon race and Mark Hall for his V55 club record at Snake Lane 10, well done both

  1. Two well deserved winners.
Mark is running consistently and ticking off records like a bingo scorecard.
Gilly, amazing display of determination, stamina and fitness. Almost 190 miles on the road in 8 days is amazing. I know how hard you trained for this challenge and you managed to raise a significant sum of money in the process for a great charity.

Well done to you both !!!

  2. Well done folks both rightly deserved. I believe Howard also got a very well deserved mention at the meeting for his consistent machine-like racing.

  3. I think Howard merited ROM for his performances and number of events he has competed in during February. Scott had an outstanding run in the Tarpley 20m, I would have been happy to occupy the 3rd step on the podium behind these athletes.

  4. Well done Gilly, that’s a lot of miles in one week, don’t even do that in my car! Excellent that you also raised money for a charity.

  5. I did send a comment saying I couldn’t argue with the choices and well done to both but for some reason it did not get through. Gratifying that I got a mention but I still think the choices were right and er… well done to both! Gilly for running further than I normally go for a holiday and Mark for another record.

  6. Well done to you both deserve the Award indeed . Mark H. is an extraordinary competitor even at national level , a very fast runner with steel determination for records .

  7. Oh thanks for this guys! Just been told about it … i’m playing catch up as normal 😉
Very well done Mark with your race!! x
