Endurancelife – Anglesey

Report from Tom Paget:

A couple of old university friends suggested meeting up for a weekend of catching up and running a race. We agreed on to one on Anglesey, one of the Endurance Life events that offers races on dramatic coastal paths across the UK (albeit at what I thought was a rather expensive entry fee).
We chose the half marathon, which was actually 14.7 miles of hilly, rocky, boggy, windy but very beautiful hard running. I felt pretty good all the way round, and was pleased to finish in 8th place out of 111 runners in 2 hours 10 minutes. The winner finished in 2.02.

  1. I agree with you Tom , nowadays some races that I would like to do are indeed too expensive for no good reason , that is another reason that I do fell races , because you can enter on the day and you spend to enter 3 pounds or 4 or even 1 pound like the Beamsley Beacon from Addingham Gala . Awesome performance of yours in this Endurancelife event , a great 8th position leaving behind 103 runners in a time of 2.02 , not far from the winner . Well done to Tom P.
