Sunday 1st July – Skiddaw Fell Race

Sunday 1st July – Skiddaw Fell Race

Report from Joanna Hobson (although I wasn’t there and I hope Antonio doesn’t mind me putting this post up!)

I saw on Facebook that Antonio had been in Keswick last Sunday 1st July taking part in the Skiddaw Fell Race, just one day following the race at Eldwick gala. The Keswick AC website states that this race is Category: AM 15.4km/961.6m (9.6miles/2700ft), so not an easy one!

Well Done Antonio!

  1. I do not mind at all Joanna and thank you for the report , the descent on the Skiddaw is really hard because the footpath is really rocky !! at the finish my feet were really hurting me and I was in pain for the hard underfoot track , also today my feet are still sore , but I am glad that I did a classic fell race , although I think the hardest that I have ever done is the Wadsworth Half Trog and the Flower Scar Fell race where I had to retire almost near the finish .

  2. Well done Antonio, its does look a tough run and probably made worse with the heat we had that day… Hope your feet are feeling less sore now.
