September 17th – 30th – Eric Smith Handicap Trophy Race 6 – Thruscross

Probably until at least the end of the year, the last 2 weeks of the month now means it’s Eric Smith Handicap Trophy fortnight.  September’s race round Thruscross was won by David Mullen 25 seconds ahead of Nick Hodgkinson.

Nick now leads the handicap table, but it’s still very tight at the top with Nick on 71 points, James Dobson on 70.5  and Antonio of 69.  Catherine Dobson, Bob Payne, David Fox and Don Buffham also all in the 60’s. See the full handicap table here.

October’s race is a two lap route round the Weston Estate, St Davids’ & St Richards Road, see route map here

  1. Congratulations to David M. for winning the Eric S. Trophy Race 6 with an excellent performance crossing the finish line in 38.42 . David F. is back in good shape finishing in a robust 54.07 . Phil R. is in good form too finishing the 5/6 mile in a strong 50.52 . Andrew R. had a great day around Thruscross with the fastest time finishing in a super 36.15 . Also Sara E. had a good day on the reservoir finishing in a nice 46.15 . Caron R. was flying around the cost line finishing in a powerful 47.28 . Well done everyone . I can not believe that we are back on the Weston Estate after almost 20 years , I think the last one was run in 2001 .
