Report from Billy Races, injuries, illness and work commitments decimated the Ladies team with Becky Harpur the only runner for Otley. She ran fantastically to finish 16th in a time of 22:43. The ladies race was won by Ruby Sykes of Holmfirth in 20:34. We had a few more men out again qualifying for points. Runner of the Month – October

Runners of the month for October: Scott Harrington, Rebecca Keinhorst and Hayley Galvin, all for their efforts in this years’ Yorkshire Marathon. Scott achieved another 3rd place matching his place from last year, but knocking a couple of minutes from his time, and also taking the 1st V40 title. Reebs and Hayley both ran brilliantly to complete their first marathon. Well done all, collect your prize down at club.

Report from Tom Lynch: The Burley Moor run has grown in popularity with Otley in the past couple of years, with 16 Otley runners last year, and 18 this year with 186 runners overall. It’s a nice low key race which offers a good mix of terrain, and obviously not far from Otley which might explain it’s popularity…the weather was also pretty nice this year too! As with last year it’s a counter in the fell runner of the year…
