Tuesday 22nd May – YVAA Grand Prix Race organised by Kirkstall Harriers starting at 7.30pm.

Wednesday 23rd May – Badger Stone Relays. OAC members wanting to take part contact Hugh in advance.

Monday 28th May – A social pack training run around the next HDSRL course meeting by Homebase, Kirk Lane, Yeadon at 7.30pm and covering approximately 6 miles around Spring Woods, Esholt.

Thursday 31st May – HDSRL third evening race at Yeadon organised by Dragons Running Club starting at 7.45pm and meeting up beforehand at Cross Green by 7.00pm to share lifts.

Thursday 7th June – Committee Meeting after training.

Thursday 14th June – Club Handicap around Stainburn (6.2 miles).

Thursday 21st June – HDSRL fourth evening race at Swaledale starting at 7.45pm and meeting up beforehand at Cross Green by 6.20pm to share lifts.

Thursday 21st June – HDSRL fifth evening race at Harrogate organised by Nidd Valley assisted by Vocalink starting at 7.45pm and meeting up beforehand at Cross Green by 6.50pm to share lifts.

Wednesday 4th July – Danefield Relay. OAC have booked the Cheerful Chilli for a social meal afterwards. Cost £18.50 apprx and members wanting to go should advise Sarah ASAP because limited number of 30 places and arrange to pay Sarah a deposit of £5 per person to confirm.

Friday 13th July – Washburn Valley Relay

Thursday 19th July – Club Handicap around Danefield (2.9 miles) with barbecue (t.b.c.) afterwards at the Cricket Club.

Thursday 26th July – Club Runner of the Year Golden Mile at Greehead Track, Keighley meeting by 7.30pm (or by 6.50pm at Cross Green to share lifts).

Friday 27th July – Sunday 12th August – London 2012 Olympics.

Thursday 16th August – Club Runner of the Year and Club Handicap over 3,000m at Greenhead Track, Keighley meeting by 7.30pm (or by 6.50pm at Cross Green to share lifts).

Over the course of the past few months I have received many extremely generous offers of support for my Bob Graham Round. The time has now come for me to finalise the logistics.

The plan is to depart Keswick for a clockwise round at midnight on Friday 20th / Saturday 21st July with the aim of finishing by 23:00 on Saturday 21st.

THIS DOES NOT CONFLICT WITH SNOWDON OR ANY OTHER SIGNIFICANT RACE.

What I am asking is would you like to take part, and if so, which leg(s) would you prefer?

Ideally I am looking for ten volunteers, one sherpa and a recorder on each leg, so pairs of volunteers would be ideal.

Accommodation in a large rented house (Grasmere or Keswick) along with transport to and from the start and finish of each leg will be arranged. All that you need to do is get up to the Lakes and be prepared to run for up to six hours over mountainous terrain in all possible weathers.

‘Moonlighting’ returns on club training nights – an alternative to pounding the tarmac.

For the uninitiated, this involves off-road running through the Autumn / Winter using head torches.

Of course, this is not without danger and – Disclaimer – by joining this activity, you agree to do so at your own risk!

We usually have two groups to ensure everybody’s pace can be accommodated and is open to everyone in the club however fast or slow. Anyone new to the club is particularly welcome, so why not give it a go?!

Please ensure that you are better equipped than normal for these runs, for example, suggest carrying full waterproofs (just in case).
