Middleton PECO XC Race Jan 3rd 2016

After all the festive fun Jenson Brogden, Aston Brogden and Holly Davey were back in action at the third race of the PECO series. Aston ran in the 1 mile race and Jenson and Holly ran in the 2 mile race. As you can imagine the course was really wet and muddy so the ‘Three Amigos’ did well to stay upright!

The Stoop December 20th 2015

Jenson Brogden, Aston Brogden, Kieran Green, Imogen Webster and Alice Webster took part in The Stoop race organised by Dave and Eileen Woodhead. This race is a favourite one for us and amazing value for money at just £1.00! Everyone runs in a Santa hat and is rewarded with a goody bag at the finish. The course today was really muddy and even the most experienced Juniors were sliding down the hill! Our Godsons William and Thomas Pearson who are only 6 joined in today which was great given the fact they have never run before. All the Juniors ran well and Aston Brogden even managed to come 3rd in the U8’s race. Well done guys!

West Park PECO December 13th 2015

A group of Juniors braved the cold and mud to take part in race 2 of the PECO Cross Country League. The course was like a mud bath so some of the runners even taped their trainers on! All the juniors ran well and the race showed them why off road trainers are a must for some races!

Aston Brogden ran in the 1 mile race and Jenson Brogden , Holly Davey, Kieran Green and Imogen Webster ran in the 2 mile race.

Junior Abbey Dash 15th of November 2015

Jenson Brogden, Aston Brogden and Holly Davey braved the wet weather to take part in the 2015 Junior Abbey Dash or should I say the ABBEY SPLASH! Not put off by the awful weather the Otley Juniors gave it their all in this 2k road race.  Jenson who was running this race for the 4th year was home first and continued his theme of beating the previous years time and even went under 7 minutes. Holly was next home and took the 3rd girl spot and again ran faster than previous years. Aston was very excited to be taking part in his first Abbey Dash and came home in a really strong time. Well done again to the Otley Trio.

Results Below-

Jenson Brogden  12th in 6.47

Holly Davey  18th in 7.02 (3rd girl)

Aston Brogden 38th in 7.57

Yorkshire Runner

Otley now has it’s very own running shop called Yorkshire runner! We visited the shop today and they were really friendly and helpful! The good news is they will be stocking running shoes and clothing for children. They kindly gave us some leaflets with a money off voucher when you spend £20.00. Please see Russ at training if you would like a voucher.
