Yes, it’s that time of year again – Harrogate League time! You can sign on here https://racebest.com/races/x6k89. If you’re new to the club the league is a series of evening events all approx 10k. There are four evening races plus a handicap (which we are hosting), and each with a buffet afterwards. The club’s annual awards evening takes place on Friday 24 January. It’s our main social event of the year and it’s where awards such as Runner of the Year and the President’s Trophy are handed out; and it’s also a great evening to get to know other members away from plodding the pavements! Further to Hannah’s earlier emails, if you haven’t renewed your subs you will now have been resigned from the club. If you haven’t received Hannah’s emails and still wish to remain a member please pay £35 immediately. The bank details can be found on the application form on the website. Also please email Hannah at info@otleyac.org.uk with your up to date contact details and stating the date when payment was made.

The latest updates to the Fell Runner of the Year table are out, very close at the top, Colin trailing the lead by less than a point, but Phil has a race in hand. Caron looks set to win the women’s title and currently 6th overall. Final race of the season, is Vocation Mytholmroyd 8th December. It’s still not too late to nominate a wild card race to elevate your final position!

Tuesday Graham and Sara will be leading a speed session along Mill Way. There’ll be a warm up run there along Manor St/Buon Apps/new estate. *this session is suitable for ALL abilities* Billy’s group is doing Cambridge, Birdcage… There may be a faster road/off road option too. Thursday 7th: Billy’s group will be doing new estate-golf club Sara’s group will do a Burley loop. Again, there’ll be an off road option.
