Report from Howard Jeffrey… Another testing mainly off road seven miler and also in the Leeds race series so put on my trail shoes and braved the forecast horrendous weather to find it was a glorious day perfect for running. I had intended to have a steady run but one of the LRS rivals was there. I am not race fit but managed to tuck in and keep with him for the first two miles. He started to pull ahead…

This is the second year that Sara and I have done this route and after thoroughly enjoying the route last year we had agreed months ago to do it again, somehow we’d managed to persuade Richard to join…

Sunday September 16th – Embsay Fell Race (AS 4.4km 244m)

Report from Colin Best: To keep up my run of fell races I decided to give Embsay fell race a go for the second year running. This is a short but surprisingly steep fell race. The start was slightly different this year, due to farmer issues, and started along a track, rejoining the normal route across fields, before the brutal climb to the summit. The reward having reached the top was a great fast run off across easily runnable spongy…

I finished 4th in the heat in 5.10 (2 seconds off…
